श्री भास्कर चौधरी नेत्तेम ने ONGC के डायरेक्टर (प्रोडक्शन) का पदभार संभाला

Shri Bhaskar Chowdary Nettem has taken charge as Director (Production), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), with effect from 21 September 2026. He brings to the role more than three decades of experience across offshore and onshore oil and gas operations, mature-field production, major project execution, international upstream business and joint venture leadership.
His appointment follows leadership assignments spanning some of ONGC's most critical producing assets and strategic energy initiatives. As Director (Production), he will provide leadership and oversight to the Company's production operations, drawing on experience across mature offshore and onshore assets, field redevelopment, asset integrity and complex project interfaces.
A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, Shri Nettem joined ONGC in 1991 at Mumbai High Offshore Oilfield, where he developed a strong foundation in complex offshore operations and production management. He subsequently earned a Master's degree in International Business in 2006, complementing his technical grounding with a broader commercial and strategic perspective.
In earlier assignments, Shri Nettem contributed to feasibility studies for greenfield refinery projects at Kakinada and Barmer, supporting ONGC's strategic groundwork for downstream entry. He later played a key role in the joint venture associated with commencement of production from the Mangala oilfields in Rajasthan and commissioning of the world's longest heated crude oil pipeline from Barmer to Bhogat - assignments that strengthened his experience in partnerships, commercial interfaces and cross-functional project execution.
During his tenure with ONGC Videsh Limited, he gained international exposure across deepwater oilfield operations, business development and field development planning. These assignments strengthened his ability to evaluate opportunities, align multidisciplinary teams and manage operating, commercial and regulatory interfaces in complex upstream environments.
As Asset Manager of ONGC's Assam Asset at Nazira, Shri Nettem led efforts to sustain and enhance production from mature fields in a demanding and ecologically sensitive operating environment. His leadership brought together operational discipline, workforce alignment, stakeholder engagement and environmental responsibility.
He subsequently brought this breadth of experience to Mumbai High Asset, ONGC's most critical mature offshore producing asset. Amid ageing reservoirs, legacy infrastructure and demanding production expectations, he guided priorities relating to production performance, asset integrity, field redevelopment, project execution and HSE excellence.
As Chairman of Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL), Shri Nettem is associated with the development of the 1,656-km North East Gas Grid, connecting the eight North-Eastern States with the national gas network. The growing integration of ONGC's gas supplies with this network, including commencement of gas sales from Khoraghat GGS-1 in August 2026, marks an important step in strengthening the region's gas infrastructure. The five-PSU joint venture supports the broader objectives of the Act East Policy and the One Nation One Gas Grid Mission.
Shri Nettem's professional journey combines operational depth with project, commercial, international and joint venture experience, supported by a people-centric leadership approach. As ONGC advances its focus on enhancing domestic oil and gas production, maximising recovery from mature assets, developing new upstream opportunities and strengthening operational excellence, this integrated perspective will contribute to safe and reliable production growth, asset integrity, HSE excellence and India's energy security.
