ONGC strikes a chord among global players in Petroleum sector at ADIPEC 2022
As the world's biggest energy forum, Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference 2022 is the quintessential platform exploring new collaborations and identifying solutions. With its inclusivity, ADIPEC 2022 has congregated global players from across the energy industry to consider how advanced technologies can lead to boosting the sector’s productivity, greatly increase its value, all the while transforming its value chains.

ADIPEC 2022’s focal point has been exploring the role of carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) and storage technologies as a major contributor to transition strategies. The participating organizations are looking into the prospects of how recent investments are driving technological advancements. Since the first day of ADIPEC 2022 on 31 October 2022, ONGC CMD Rajesh Kumar Srivastava and Director (Technical & Field Services) Om Prakash Singh have been tirelessly interacting with service providers to know more about the state-of-art oilfield technologies from all across the world. Their priority was then to explore more evolved, economical and safer ways to do oil and gas business, while being focused on the future with renewable energy technologies.
At ADIPEC 2022, CMD visited the stall of Indian manufacturing unicorn Zetwerk with senior ONGC officials. Zetwork is a Bangalore-based company that offers high-quality products and services based on capital goods, consumer goods, and precision parts to SMBs and Fortune 500 companies all across the globe. While interacting with Zetwerk, CMD discussed about managing remote gas pockets, creating solutions for reliquification and scalable transfer of hydrocarbons.
Later Director (T&FS) met Neal Lux, the CEO of Forum Energy Technology (FET), and discussed the prospects of modern rigs. As a respected global oilfield products company, FET supplied parts of the state-of-the-art drilling rigs that ONGC bought recently.
At Abu Dhabi, Director (T&FS) visited stalls of various global companies in ADIPEC 2022 to scout for the latest developments in oil field technologies. At the India Pavilion, he deliberated with senior executives from the Mumbai-based pigment manufacturer company Mallak Specialties Pvt. Ltd. They had discussions on chemicals required for fracking HPHT wells.
At the German Pavilion, Director (T&FS) visited the stall of Sorb XT specializing in damage-proof organic binders. While he was at the Norwegian Pavilion, Director (T&FS) visited the stall of the ultrasonic intelligent sensor company named ClampOn which manufactures non-intrusive sensors for topside and subsea applications. While meeting the executives of the Norwegian oil recovery company InflowControl, many discussions were made on the prospects of autonomous inflow control devices, along with the development and modelling of subsurface oilfield applications.
A visit was also made to the stall of Qapqa Group, a company based in Netherlands that specializes in advanced pipe welding technology crucial to oilfield exploration.
On the final day, Director (T&FS) met with senior executives from offshore drilling mammoth Schlumberger Limited to deliberate on the future of the global energy industry.
