| ONGC bags Gold Award at the ‘Dainik Bhaskar India Pride Awards’ for Excellence in PSUs |

ONGC bagged the coveted Gold Award in the Oil and Gas Category of the "Dainik Bhaskar India Pride Awards for Excellence in PSUs" organized by the Dainik Bhaskar Group in New Delhi.

Mr. R S Sharma, CMD, ONGC received the award from the Chief Guest, Mr. P Chidambaram , the Hon'ble Union Minister for Home Affairs at a glittering ceremony organized for recognizing the PSUs, who have excelled in their areas of operations and made significant contributions to the development of Indian economy.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma expressed his pleasure and honour to receive this award on behalf of all the employees of the ONGC Group of companies. He thanked the illustrious Jury and the Bhaskar Group of Companies.

Speaking on Indian economy’s resilience in fighting back the downturn which had affected the country and the world, Mr. Sharma shared with the audience present there, that the strong regulatory system, the checks and balances and effective risk mitigation practices implemented particularly by PSUs have won appreciation from international audience also.

He added that the CEO of ABB and CEO of GE met him earlier at separate occasions and appreciated the way ONGC effectively managed the challenges in the face of financial turmoil affecting corporates within the country and the world.

Apart from Mr. Sharma, Mr. R S Butola, MD OVL and Mr. U N Bose, Director (T&FS) were present at the awards function which had participation from reputed corporates representing the public and private sector organizations.
