Mr. R S Sharma, CMD, ONGC was conferred 'Amity Leadership Award for Corporate Excellence in Oil & Gas Industry' by Amity Business School during the 5th Annual Global Leadership Summit held at NO IDA on September 19, 2009.

The award is in recognition of Mr. Sharma’s leadership and contribution leading to outstanding growth of ONGC through his excellent Finance Management, Project Management, R&D, innovation and Human Resource Management. The award is also in recognition of Mr. Sharma’s contribution to the growth of Indian business and bringing glory to India through his pioneering leadership.

Mr. Sharma was selected for this award through a combination of research and analytical work undertaken by students and faculty of Amity. The team selected various companies with large capital intensive projects and analysed the approach of their CEOs in implementing various projects. After studying these companies on various parameters they selected ONGC’s CEO for this award.
