at IDT, Dehradun acquired IADC accreditation
in June 1998 for conducting
well control courses.
The Well Control Accreditation
Program (Well CAP) of IADC
is based on the principle that proper training,
emphasizing the knowledge & practical
skills critical to successful well
control, produces competent rig
crews. Well
CAP
offers a blueprint for rig crew training by
emphasizing the knowledge & skills critical
to successful well control.

WCS conducts 12
IADC courses in a year. The course duration is five
days. Course
starts on Monday at 0930 hrs and finishes on
Friday at 1630 hrs. For
first four days
there is extensive class room
teaching followed by practical sessions
on full size
derrick floor simulator. At the end
of fourth day participants visit to a fully
functional
rig in the campus of the institute.
Assignment containing questions
pertaining to day’s curriculum
are given to the
participants & discussion on assignment is
taken up the next morning.

IADC Certification
program consists of a written exam and
the simulator practical
test, conducted on the last day of the
course.
A participant has to score minimum
of 70% in both to qualify for
the IADC certificate. Validity of the
IADC certificate
is two years.

COURSE FEE - US $ 700 or INR Rs.
35,000.00
This fees excludes
boarding, lodging and transportation charges.
The participants
working outside India have to pay the fees in
US Dollars where as those working in
India can pay in equivalent Indian
Rupees. The fees is to be paid in
the form of
demand draft in favour of Manager (F&A), IDT,
payable at Dehradun, India.
